This class is for potters who already know their way around the wheel but occasionally need a bit of support—whether you’re refining your technique, problem-solving a specific form, or just looking for guidance to get past a tricky stage.
Each session is open-format and student-led: no set curriculum, just targeted help based on what you’re working on that day. Bring your challenges—whether it’s taller walls, better trimming, or centering confidence—and we’ll work through them together.
The class meets every other week, alternating between Friday and Saturday mornings.
Note: The week of July 4th, the class will take place on Thursday, July 3rd instead of Friday or Sunday.
Drop in as needed—book each class individually.

About the Instructor:
Benedicte Leclere
Benedicte is a ceramic artist and co-founder of L’Impatience and L’Atelier — two creative spaces in Kingston, NY dedicated to thoughtful, expressive work in clay. Originally from France, she brings a quiet precision and deep respect for material to both her teaching and artistic practice. At L’Atelier, Benedicte leads intimate, hands-on wheel throwing and hand building classes, supporting students in building skill, confidence, and connection through clay. As co-creator of Mutual Core, a sculptural speaker project that merges sound and form, she explores the intersection of ceramics, design, and sensory experience. Her classes reflect the ethos of the studio she helped build: focused, welcoming, and grounded in the quiet joy of making.
