Ready to go big? Learn how to throw oversized pottery by dividing your work into smaller, manageable sections and joining them into a single statement piece. In this hands‑on, three‑hour session you’ll:
Throw in Sections
Create separate thrown pieces for the base, walls, and lip
Assemble Seamlessly
join each section to build one cohesive vessel
Refine Your Form
Smooth seams, adjust proportions, and add finishing touches
Push your throwing skills to a new scale and leave with a custom, large‑format piece you’ll be proud to display.

Tools, aprons, and towels provided
Students get 4 hours of open studio time the following week to finish their pieces
Option to get your finished pieces fired for an additional fee of $0.06 per cubic inch (firing fee covers the use of our studio glazes).
Limited to 4 participants per workshop

Cost: $225 per person (studio members get 15% off).
Note: This class requires prior experience on the wheel, as it focuses on advanced throwing techniques.

Full payment is required prior to the event to secure your spot.
If you need to cancel, we offer a credit valid for 6 months, provided cancellation is made in writing at least one week before the workshop.
Workshops may be rescheduled once within this 6-month period with a 10% re-booking fee.
Please note that we do not offer refunds under any circumstances, including after the class begins.
In the event of low enrollment, we reserve the right to cancel the class one week before the scheduled start date.
