4-WEEK WHEEL-THROWING WORKSHOP: INTERMEDIATE
4-WEEK WHEEL-THROWING WORKSHOP: INTERMEDIATE
SEPTEMBER 13
OCTOBER 4
Saturdays | 10 am - 12:30 pm
$400 (workshop) + $125 (dinner at Eliza)
Ever find yourself at a restaurant turning a plate over to see who made it? Ever wished the name on the bottom was yours? This workshop turns that curiosity into a real, delicious outcome.
Over four Saturday mornings, you’ll design and make a small set of dinner plates—then celebrate with a dinner at Eliza Bistro, where your meal will be served on the very pieces you created. It’s a quietly joyful blend of studio practice and shared table.
Across four weeks, you’ll move from idea to finished, food-safe plates. You’ll learn how to plan a cohesive set, throw consistent forms, refine rims and foot rings, and glaze with function in mind—so your plates look beautiful and work beautifully.
After the dinner, your set will be ready for pickup so you can keep enjoying it at home.

About the Instructor:
Benedicte Leclere
Benedicte is a ceramic artist and co-founder of L’Impatience and L’Atelier — two creative spaces in Kingston, NY dedicated to thoughtful, expressive work in clay. Originally from France, she brings a quiet precision and deep respect for material to both her teaching and artistic practice. At L’Atelier, Benedicte leads intimate, hands-on wheel throwing and hand building classes, supporting students in building skill, confidence, and connection through clay. As co-creator of Mutual Core, a sculptural speaker project that merges sound and form, she explores the intersection of ceramics, design, and sensory experience. Her classes reflect the ethos of the studio she helped build: focused, welcoming, and grounded in the quiet joy of making.
