Welcome to our first 6-week pottery session of the New Year, where you'll uncover the art of crafting your own unique pieces from start to finish.
Join us on Tuesday evenings from 5:30-8 pm, as we guide you through the intricacies of wheel throwing, from clay preparation to glazing.
During this workshop, you'll learn every aspect of wheel throwing, including wedging clay, centering, throwing, trimming, and glazing. We'll focus on various forms like mugs, bowls, plates, and vases. Your finished pieces will be carefully fired in our kilns and will be available for pickup 2-3 weeks after the session concludes.
Program Overview:
Week 1: Discover the essentials of wedging and the basics of wheel throwing.
Week 2: Learn to trim and shape mugs.
Week 3: Focus on attaching handles to your mugs.
Week 4: Create bowls, exploring form and technique.
Week 5: Design and throw vases.
Week 6: Glaze your pieces to finish them.

Duration: 2.5 hours per session

Beginner's level; no prior experience needed
Tools, aprons, and towels provided
Price includes clay, glazes, and firing
Students get 4 hours of open studio time per week
Limited to 6 participants per workshop

Cost: $490 per person (studio members get 15% off).

Full payment is required prior to the event to secure your spot.
If you need to cancel, we offer a credit valid for 6 months, provided cancellation is made in writing at least one week before the workshop.
Workshops may be rescheduled once within this 6-month period for a $20 re-booking fee.
Please note that we do not offer refunds under any circumstances, including after the class begins.
In the event of low enrollment, we reserve the right to cancel the class one week before the scheduled start date.
